From Fulton Ferry: Building Downtown Brooklyn traces the impact transportation has had on Downtown Brooklyn for more than 350 years, from the first ferry to the present day. Housed underground in an authentic 1936 subway station in Downtown Brooklyn, the Transit Museum offers changing exhibitions as well as a rotating selection of twenty vintage subway and elevated cars dating back to 1907.

The museum had 40 pages of thumbnail images and text overlapping time periods to transform into an exhibition in a decommissioned subway station.

Our task was to take 40 pages of thumbnail images and text and

The visual challenge was to distinguish the sections of the exhibition (ferry, horses, Brooklyn Bridge) that all overlapped in time periods, and working within a decommissioned subway station. We were provided with 40 pages of thumbnail images and text to transform into an exhibition. Our solution was to separate the sections by a detail from a relevant postcard, and for the title, emulate the fonts used in the ticket to that mode of transportation.
